The aim of my research
is to find out the relationship between teenagers and their parents, also to make sure whether they have generation gap among
each others. I conducted a questionnaire with my partner xiaohong at some different
places, such as shopping centres, bus stops and also some restaurants. After that, I discussed with my partner and use the
Internet to find some helpful information. During the process of conducting a survey, we have some main findings. In general, most parents have a good
relationship with their children. The problem of the generation gap is not as serious as we predicted before. Sometimes they
even behave like friends. But there are also some problems occurring between them. From the chart we found fathers tend to
have a better relationship with their children than mothers. Besides, sometimes parents may have different answers with their
teenage children when asked certain questions. At last, we give some recommendations to Singaporean parents and teenagers.
We hope their relationship can be better and better!
